Wow! Well, this is going extremely well as a motivator...
As you can see I haven't done ziltch in at least 3 months!
I've never liked programming using web technologies - there are simply too many variables. What server are you going to use? Which database are you going to use? Which server side language are you going to use? Should you worry about these at all or use a readily available site? If so, what ftp program are you going to use? What web technologies are you going to use on the client side? With what browser will your site support? How can you be systematically sure that they are acting/displaying the right way? Should you code everything by hand? If not, what software should you use? What protocols are you going to use between the server and the client? What norms to you want to follow? Do you want to follow any kind of norm? When are you gonna have time to handle all these learning curves? What are people gonna think about your website? Why do you care what they are going to think about your website? Will people even visit my website? Is it spelt website or web site??? Aren't you doing this website for yourself anyways? Well, if you're doing it for yourself you might as well create desktop software! But what's the point of making desktop software if nobody's gonna see it? Well, you could 'publish' it using download.com or tucows.com, etc. OK fine! That's what I'll do!
...
What software should I create?
